Yellow Plants for the Garden: A Yellow Scheme

For a bright sunny effect try a yellow scheme, but provide it with a dark background so that the foliage and flowers show up well. Incidentally, yellow flowers show up particularly well in the evening when the light is fading. Include some cream flowers, too, as well as plants with golden foliage. Grey-leaved plants also go well with yellow flowers and foliage and help create further interest.

Most of the plants in this list need sunny conditions and good drainage, but some are suited to shade and/or moist soils.
