Templetonia : Greenhouse Plants

C – cool, minimum of 7°C (45°F)

Family: Leguminosae

Australia

Templetonia retusa is the Coral Bush which makes a very attractive small shrubby plant which will bear bright red nearly claw-shaped flowers in early summer then sometimes again later. The dark little blunt ended leaves are also attractive. A well-drained loam-based compost is favourite. It is important not to let the plant dry out too much during winter or to let the atmosphere become too humid around it.
