Syngonium : Greenhouse Plants

T – tropical, minimum of 18°C (65°F)

Family: Araceae

Tropical S and Central America Syngonium podophyllum is the Goosefoot Plant or Arrowhead Vine which is another of those foliage plants that require a humid tropical atmosphere to do well. It will respond to the right conditions by growing large many lobed leaves and climbing vigorously. This sort of plant does well on a column of sphagnum moss made by tying the moss on to a piece of plastic plumbing pipe or chicken wire. Cuttings can be made of shoots so that each contains two nodes. It is not necessary to have a shoot tip on every cutting, so many cuttings can be had from the one long stem.
