PERNETTYA

Pernettya mucronata, 4 ft., in its various forms is commonly grown, and has tiny white flowers in spring, like those of the ericas, followed by decorative berries. It is a dense shrub with small evergreen leaves and wiry stems. Plant in a lime-free soil in shade or sun from September to November or from March to May. The berries vary in colour according to the varieties.
