It is generally not advisable to specialize in irises if the garden is not very large, but if there is an odd-shaped corner of the garden, Irises may be grouped there. These are useful where there is no grass, for they display well near paths of flagstones, or similar material. Iris gardens are not very often included in the small garden design, and are usually reserved for the large estate of several acres.
