HOREHOUND (Marrubium vulgare)

Raised from seed sown in drills 1 ft. apart in April, and thinned to 1 ft. apart, or from cuttings inserted in a shady part of the garden in summer. It is sometimes used for making cough medicine. (For the Herb Garden.)
